Know Your Test Results

At Summit Gastroenterology, we believe that it is every patients right to have full and unrestricted access to their medical records. We ensure this in a variety of ways. If you are getting an endoscopy performed at the Digestive Wellness center, you will be given a copy of the report for your records. This will include all pictures taken during the endoscopy. If we take biopsies during your endoscopy, we will either send you a letter with the results of the biopsy or you can call our office at (330) 753-6643 ext. 2 to get your biopsy results. You can request a copy of all your office visits by submitting a request for release of medical information.

We work in close conjunction with your referring physician to ensure an appropriate two-way communication is carried about your medical condition. This helps us to employ a team effort for management of your medical condition. All copies of your endoscopy as well as office visits are faxed to your primary care physician's office for your file. All test results are promptly forwarded to your primary care physician for his/her review as well.

If you are faced with a serious medical condition, we ensure that we work as part of a team to approach your medical condition. We share an effective communication with surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, oncologists and other specialists to offer you a team of highly experienced physicians to care for every aspect of your health. We will work with your primary care physician to ensure that you are directed to the appropriate specialist if you require it, so that you do not have any uncertainty or insecurity about your care.
